Anyone else with Different Anxiety Symptoms than the Norm?

I’ve heard so many people describe anxiety has rapid breathing, nausia, flushing, sweating, etc. but mine are so different than most peoples.
Does anyone else have other symptoms like mine? They include “forgetting to breath” or holding breath, pale in color, freezing skin and hands, sometimes fingers turn numb, shakes or shivers, goosebumps, worried and stressed facial expressions, feeling like your body is more of a machine instead of “you”, forcing yourself to smile and chat with people, but not actually “feeling” yourself, or trying to “self-talk” to yourself to help you through the day?

I get severe anxiety, but I feel my symptoms are different than most peoples. Anyone else with the same? For me, it’s only in social settings.
Thank you all so much for your answers. I do feel better knowing I’m not alone. I think the more I understand what’s going on, the better I can deal with my issues.
I feel you are good friends, and I thank you for your honesty and understanding.

How can I reduce excessive sweating?

I’ve had difficulties controlling my sweating during physical activity (although I have no real problems in every day life) for a number of years, but have managed to cope with it without too much difficulty.

Just recently though, it has increased greatly, but I’ve not changed anything in my life that could affect it (diet, clothing, medication).

I had previously tried antiperspirants but to no avail as it just made me sweat even more in places I can not treat (mainly face) and this causes immense stinging.

Is there anything I can do myself that will aid in reducing the amount I sweat?

I know sweating aids body cooling, but as I have a relative low resting heart rate, normal blood pressure and lived an active healthy lifestyle for the last 10 years or so, I don’t understand how my body wants to cool down so much even when doing a 5min jog in cool conditions, and sometimes even just a warm-up.

Hello

There are different ways that can help you to stop your excessive sweating.
Here are some useful methods to avoid hyperhidrosis:

Keep Away From Sugar

having high sugar level in the blood produces hyper activity and anxiety that can easily produce excessive stress, and as a result excessive sweating.

Avoid Alcohol

Drinking drinks with Alcohol causes the dilatation of blood vessels that result in an increase in body temperature and therefore excessive sweat.

Don’t Eat Spicy Foods:

Spicy foods are similar to alcohol, it makes the heart pumps more blood and therefore the body, to regulate itself produces sweat.

Choose The Right Cloths:

Don’t over dress, and in summer or any other hot weather avoid synthetic fibers. Use breathing fabrics like cotton. This will ventilate your body and void any accumulation of sweat.

Stop That Caffeine:

Caffeine is a stimulant that increases the anxiety. It could be found in coffee and other soda drinks.

Stop Smoking:

Smoking is also a vessel dilator just like alcohol.

Learn Yoga or Meditation:

A common cause for excessive sweating is stress. To avoid or reduce stress you should learn to control it. The best way to control is by learning meditation or yoga techniques. Mastering those can make a huge difference on your life.

In addition to these tips there are also many products and solutions for excessive sweating like botox, Acupuncture and Hypnosis.
In my opinion and from my experience the problem with many of these solutions is the expensive price and the fact that many of them simply won’t work for most of the people.

There are very few products that actually work and can help you to stop or at least reduce your excessive sweating problems in few weeks.

What are some effective remedies for Social anxiety?

I have social anxiety. My symptoms are that my heartbeat goes up, my hands start shaking, I get nervous, and start shaking. If a group of people talking to me I would start to sweat. Please help me =(

I had this for a long time. But i’m starting to get over it through meditation, seeing a doctor and medication. Just start slowly, don’t talk to a whole group at once, even i get nervous doing that. Just make small talk with one person, even if it’s somebody younger than you. From there, work your way up. Write down a list of things you would say to somebody to start a conversation. As for the sweating, just keep some water with you, take slow deep breaths, and even if you just do the listening, you’ll find yourself becomming more confident.
